alas poor Yorrick I knew him....

It cost £30 quid to get back from leicester Square this evening SOOOOOO much traffic. Neither Jim or myself could stand the walk since we had sat through three hours of Hamlet with Jude Law.
I fear I fell asleep endlessly, Ophelia was weak, Jude Law was ok, Ron Cook and Penelope Wilton both better, the set even betterer. The direction was weak and untheatrical, the whole deal was hard going. I think I'm getting old.
I need a night off.

I've been thinking about going to see Hamlet - the only other live Hamlet I've seen was the promenade at the Half Moon with Frances de la Tour as the Prince (which production by the way was pretty good and FdlT fantastic!). Your comments have made me rethink ... perhaps I should have seen Dr Who's Hamlet instead!
