Hearts and Minds.

I nearly got the programme all right.

I'm absorbing the tweekings, they are being exceedingly patient with me.

Anyway when I got back to the flat, having listened to Donald Fagin on my car stereo, very loud, very latin, I changed into my running gear and went out.

The air was a good smack across the cheek.

Two flocks of birds winging their way over Battersea Bridge actually came together and formed a HEART, not for very long, but just long enough for me to think;

Is it?

Isn't it?

And it was.

Bloomin' excellent.

On the way back there was a 'V' of geese heading for Chelsea harbour.

My little run was long enough for me to ruminate on the programme.

The idea of philosophy classes for infants - I think therefore I'm Bam Bam - right through to free contraception in chemists, it felt like a comely circle.

I'm now all hot and sweaty and ready for a quick bath. l'm going out for dinner with two of the head honchos.

The young agent will be there too, all tinted from South Africa.

I've spoken to the husband, who is at the cottage administering to the animals, vaguely talked to the off-spring who is doing everything in her power not to work, and my homeopaths answering service.

I owe Raj, my producer today, money for a roll and coffee, which I drunk without sugar.

Hurrah I've finally broken the sugar thing.

Well done Raj. How much do I owe you?

That's how we radio folk communicate, it's all e-mails and memo's. Not like telly which is all in your face or behind your back.

I'm off now, stepping into my bubbly bath.

Enjoy your evening and

Hi Jeni,

I know you're a member of Bafta so will be looking out for you this evening, would be great to see you and Jim strolling down the red carpet.
You'd make a great host, next year maybe?

Take care.
